Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate bar, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, blend sugars at medium speed.
  5. Add softened butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl.
  6. Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat at medium speed until fully combined.
  7. Add the flour mixture, chopped pecans, and chopped white chocolate, blend at low speed until just combined.
  8. Do not overmix.
  9. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until edges turn golden brown.
  11. Use a spatula to transfer cookies immediately to a cool, flat surface.
