Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. stew meat ⓘ
- 5 carrots, cut in chunks ⓘ
- 2 medium onions, cut in eighths
- 3 stalks celery, cut in small chunks
- 5 to 6 medium potatoes, cut in chunks ⓘ
- 1 can bisque of tomato soup or tomato soup with pieces ⓘ
- 1 can cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- salt and pepper ⓘ
- dash of water in each can to rinse out ⓘ
Instructions
- Place ingredients in a large oven pot with a cover in the order listed above, starting with the meat on the bottom.
- Cover the pot tightly.
- Place in a 250°F (121°C) oven and cook for 5 hours.
- Serve hot with biscuits or bread.
