Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup crushed fresh or frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Blend cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 egg until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and chopped nuts.
  3. Mix eggs and crushed strawberries, then add to the dry ingredients just until moistened.
  4. Spread 1 cup of batter into a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  5. Top with the cream cheese mixture, then cover with the remaining batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool for ten minutes before removing from the pan.
