Ingredients

  • 10 to 11 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 6 eggs, beaten well
  • 1/2 cup water, lukewarm
  • 6 oz butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk, lukewarm
  • vanilla
  • 3 packages dried yeast

Instructions

  1. Put milk and butter in a saucepan and swirl until butter is melted.
  2. Beat eggs well with a mixer.
  3. Stir in sugar and beaten eggs.
  4. Add milk and butter mixture; place all in a large Tupperware bowl.
  5. Add flour a little at a time until dough is soft, smooth, and elastic.
  6. Use a large spoon at first, then knead by hand in a bowl.
  7. Rub a small amount of vegetable oil thoroughly around the inside of a metal bowl (not aluminum).
