Killer Bread features toasted sourdough topped with a savory garlic mayonnaise and Parmesan mixture, finished with fresh basil, perfect for sharing as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons basil, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Slice the sourdough bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Butter both surfaces of the bread and broil to toast lightly.
  3. Mix mayonnaise, grated Parmesan, and crushed garlic well.
  4. Spread the mixture generously on both buttered surfaces of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with finely chopped basil.
  6. Broil until the bread is golden and bubbly.
  7. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
