- In a large warm bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let stand until bubbly, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Stir together several cups of the flour with the sugar and salt until well mixed.
- Add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture along with the slightly beaten eggs, oil, and warm milk.
- Beat to blend well.
- Gradually stir in more flour until the dough is soft and manageable, being careful not to add too much flour.
- Cover the bowl and let the batter rise in a warm place (about 85° to 90°F) until doubled in size, approximately 45 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and cut into rolls using a small grapefruit juice can or similar cutter.
- Place the rolls on a buttered cookie sheet and let rise again for another 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10 to 17 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm or let cool. These rolls can be lightly browned and stored in the freezer.
