Ingredients

  • 2 cans clams
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. clam juice
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp. minced parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. grated onions
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp. grated cheese
  • buttered bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Melt shortening and mix with flour and juice.
  2. Cook and stir until smooth, then put in slightly beaten egg yolk for 2 minutes and cook slowly.
  3. Add seasoning and clams.
  4. Pour into baking dish. Top with crumbs and cheese.
  5. Bake 10 minutes at 400°.
