Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. or less salt
  • 1 pt. Mazola oil
  • 1 pt. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. anise or fennel seed

Instructions

  1. Put flour in a large bowl or kettle.
  2. Make a well and add warm water, yeast, oil, and seasonings.
  3. Mix well, adding more flour if necessary.
  4. Knead dough until as smooth as bread dough.
  5. Let rise until double in size.
