Krispy Sherbet is a refreshing, crunchy dessert featuring crispy rice cereal and vibrant fruit sherbets, perfect for hot days and gatherings with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal, crushed
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton whipped topping
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pint pineapple sherbet
  • 1 pint lime sherbet

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, crushed cereal, and brown sugar until crumbly; set aside 3/4 cup of this mixture for topping.
  2. Press the remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the whipped topping with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the whipped topping mixture over the pressed cereal crust.
  5. Scoop the pineapple sherbet and lime sherbet over the top and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the sherbets as a topping.
  7. Freeze until firm before serving.
