Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4-6 apples
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a well-greased pie tin.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar, egg, flour, and baking powder together.
  3. Gradually add the milk to the mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pie tin.
  5. Peel and cut the apples into wedges.
  6. Arrange the apple wedges on top of the batter in the pie tin.
  7. Sprinkle the additional 1/4 cup sugar over the apples.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the batter is golden and the apples are tender.
