Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter Crisco
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon lemon extract
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, milk, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, and lemon extract until well combined.
  2. Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing until the dough becomes stiff.
  3. Shape the dough into logs by rolling between palms of your hands and lap the ends together to form a loop.
  4. Place the shaped cookies on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes until light brown.
  5. Let cool, then ice with colored icing and add sprinkles on top.
