- Grate the mozzarella cheese.
- Lightly brown garlic, chopped onion, and ground beef in salad oil.
- Add tomato soup, 1/2 can water, oregano, and salt; simmer for 20 minutes.
- Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Spread a layer of cottage cheese over the noodles.
- Pour some of the sauce over the cheese layer.
- Repeat layers of noodles, cottage cheese, and sauce two more times.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
