Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon salad oil
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 18 oz lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb cottage cheese
  • 1/2 can water

Instructions

  1. Grate the mozzarella cheese.
  2. Lightly brown garlic, chopped onion, and ground beef in salad oil.
  3. Add tomato soup, 1/2 can water, oregano, and salt; simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread a layer of cottage cheese over the noodles.
  6. Pour some of the sauce over the cheese layer.
  7. Repeat layers of noodles, cottage cheese, and sauce two more times.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.
