Ingredients

  • 5 3/8 oz. prepared scalloped potatoes mix
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 1/2 c. hot water
  • 4 oz. can mushroom pieces, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 c. dairy sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a 10-inch skillet.
  2. Add chopped onions, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Add hot water, mushroom pieces, catsup, scalloped potato mix, and sauce mix.
  4. Mix thoroughly and heat until boiling.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Add the sour cream just before serving.
