Ingredients

  • 1 milk chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and egg until blended. Don't overmix.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Prepare the cake according to the box instructions.
  4. Bake the cake for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the cake from the oven and add spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the top.
  6. Return the cake to the oven and bake for the remaining time, adding more if needed.
  7. Test the cake with a toothpick for doneness.
  8. Refrigerate before serving.
