Ingredients

  • 1 cup coarsely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup crisp rice cereal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Turn out onto a lightly floured rectangle (8 x 6 inches) about 3/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut into 1-inch squares with a knife.
  4. Remove each square carefully and place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Cool onto a rack.
  7. Store airtight.
