Layered taco dip with creamy avocado, spicy beans, fresh tomatoes, onions, and melted cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings with crunchy chips for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refried beans with green chili peppers
  • 1/2 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (6 oz.) carton avocado dip
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mild picante sauce
  • chili powder to taste
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Add chili powder and picante sauce to the refried beans with green chili peppers.
  2. Combine the bean mixture with taco seasoning mix and 2 tablespoons of sour cream.
  3. Spread the bean mixture in a 13 x 9-inch serving dish.
  4. Layer avocado dip over the beans.
  5. Spread the rest of the sour cream over the avocado layer.
  6. Add diced tomatoes and finely chopped onion on top.
  7. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.
  8. Serve with corn chips or tortilla chips.
