Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. You can substitute coconut oil for margarine for a dairy-free option. If you have gluten-free flour on hand, feel free to replace all-purpose flour. To enhance the texture, you might add chopped nuts or dried fruit to the mix, ensuring a delightful variation with each batch.

Serving Suggestions

These cookies are perfect as a standalone treat or paired with a warm beverage like Hot Spiced Apple Cider. For a delightful dessert experience, serve them with a scoop of ice cream or alongside a slice of fruit pie. They make a great addition to cookie platters during the holidays or for gatherings.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze the cookies in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag for up to three months. To reheat, place the cookies in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes or until warmed through.
