Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef cubes
  • potatoes, chunked
  • onions, chunked
  • carrots, chunked
  • celery, chunked
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Place beef cubes in a single layer in a casserole dish.
  2. Layer potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery on top of the beef.
  3. Mix tomato sauce with one can of water and sugar, then pour over the meat and vegetables.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Seal the casserole tightly with a lid or foil.
  6. Bake in a 325°F (160°C) oven for two hours.
  7. Do not uncover during baking.
