Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 3 lb. stew beef
  • 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 6 carrots
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; set aside.
  2. In the same frypan, brown the beef after rolling in flour.
  3. Brown the mushrooms, onion, and green pepper.
  4. Parboil the carrots for 10 minutes.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon flour, 2 cups undiluted beef bouillon, and chili sauce to the pan.
  6. Put all ingredients in a casserole dish.
  7. Dice the bacon and spread on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) about 2 hours or until tender.
  9. Serve over rice or noodles.
