Bright and fresh, Lemon Broccoli features tender steamed broccoli accented with zesty lemon rind, making it a perfect side dish for light meals or family dinners. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • lemon rind curls

Instructions

  1. Trim off large leaves of broccoli and remove tough ends of lower stalks.
  2. Wash broccoli thoroughly and cut into spears.
  3. Arrange broccoli spears in a vegetable steamer over boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  4. Drain the broccoli and transfer to a serving platter.
  5. Sprinkle with grated lemon rind, salt, and pepper.
  6. Garnish with lemon rind curls, if desired.
