Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can chicken gravy
  • 1 (16 oz.) bag frozen vegetable combination
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. In a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter or margarine.
  2. Cook half of the chicken until browned, stirring often; remove and set aside.
  3. Repeat with remaining chicken until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the frozen vegetable combination and cook until heated through.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken gravy and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  7. Add the dried basil leaves and pepper, then return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
  8. Simmer everything together for about 5 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with additional lemon if desired.
