Ingredients

  • 1 lemon cake mix
  • 1 box lemon instant pudding
  • 3/4 cup Crisco oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, lemon instant pudding, oil, water, and eggs until well blended.
  2. Pour half of the batter into a greased 10 x 12-inch baking dish.
  3. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter along with half of the chopped pecans, if using.
  5. Pour the remaining batter over the first layer.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top along with the rest of the pecans.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
