Ingredients

  • 1 c. ginger ale
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. long grain white rice
  • 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Instructions

  1. In a 2 to 3-quart pan, bring ginger ale and water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Stir in rice, lemon peel, and ground ginger; cover and turn heat to low.
  3. Cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and fluff rice with a fork, then mix in the wheat germ and serve with salt if desired.
