Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lentils
  • 2 onions
  • 3 Tbsp. fat
  • 3 Tbsp. plain flour
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the lentils and soak them overnight.
  2. Place the soaked lentils in a large pan and add 4 pints of hot water.
  3. Simmer until the lentils begin to soften, stirring from time to time.
  4. When the lentils are half-cooked, add the chopped onions and continue to simmer until the lentils are quite tender.
