Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 7 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle yeast in warm water and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, oil, salt, and egg; blend well.
  3. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Add 2 cups of flour; beat with a mixer or wooden spoon until smooth.
  5. Gradually add remaining flour; knead about 8 minutes until dough is elastic.
  6. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  7. Shape into rolls or bread; let rise again.
  8. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
