Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Spray inside of a large paper grocery bag with cooking spray.
  2. Pour the popped popcorn into the bag.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, and salt.
  4. Microwave on High for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave on High for another 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in baking soda and pour the caramel mixture over the popped corn in the paper bag.
  6. Close the bag and shake well.
  7. Microwave the entire bag on High for 1 minute.
  8. Shake well and microwave on High for another minute.
  9. Shake the bag again to evenly coat the popcorn.
