Savory beef liver prepared with onions and green peppers, lightly seasoned and pan-fried for a flavorful, tender dish suitable for quick, hearty meals or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 lb. beef liver
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp. green sweet pepper

Instructions

  1. Grind the beef liver or put it in a blender, being careful not to overload it.
  2. Add the egg, chopped onion, chopped green sweet pepper, salt, and pepper to the blender or ground liver.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Add flour to the mixture.
  5. Heat a greased skillet over medium heat.
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls of the mixture into the hot skillet.
  7. Cook until browned on both sides and cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with catsup or barbecue sauce if desired.
