- Slice cucumbers lengthwise.
- Pack the cucumber slices in jars with plenty of dill.
- Combine sugar, water, vinegar, canning salt, and turmeric; heat until it boils.
- Let the brine cool to lukewarm and pour over the packed cucumbers.
- Place jars in a cold pack to ensure they are tightly sealed.
- Add cold water to cover the jars completely.
- Bring the jars just to a boil and then remove immediately.
