Ingredients

  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 cups rice, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • Salt, pepper, and Accent to taste
  • Smoked sausage or ham (amount as desired)

Instructions

  1. Saute green pepper, celery, and onion with sausage in a tablespoon of butter.
  2. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, 2 cans of water, sugar, salt, pepper, and Accent.
  3. Bring to a boil and add rice.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
