Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. Add vanilla to milk.
  4. Fold in flour alternately with milk, making about 4 additions of each.
  5. Pour batter into two 8-inch greased pans.
  6. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with joy!
