Macaroni-Cabbage Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 c. macaroni
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped fine
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. American cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In large skillet, melt butter.
  2. Stir in cabbage, onion and garlic.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender. Prepare macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  4. Toss hot macaroni with cabbage.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Stir in chicken soup, sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese.
  7. Heat on low for 5 minutes.
  8. Just before serving, top with remaining cheese.
  9. Makes 4 servings.
