Ingredients

  • condensed milk
  • egg
  • vanilla
  • cake mix (devil's food or similar)
  • pecans
  • margarine
  • coconut

Instructions

  1. Mix devil's food cake mix, 1/2 cup softened margarine, and egg to make the crust.
  2. Press the mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix condensed milk, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  4. Stir in 1 cup coconut and pecans.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the crust in the pan.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining coconut on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Cool completely and cut into bars.
