Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. soft macaroon cookies (about 12)
  • 1 quart ice cream (any flavor)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Crumble half of the macaroon cookies and spread them on the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.
  2. Spread the ice cream over the crumbled macaroons.
  3. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Add sugar, chopped nuts, and the remaining macaroons to the whipped cream and mix well.
  5. Spread the whipped mixture over the ice cream layer.
  6. Freeze until firm before serving.
