Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, milk, vanilla, egg, and cornstarch together in a bowl. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Add milk and raisins to the cooked rice and bring to a full boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine the bowl of remaining ingredients with the rice mixture.
  4. Bring the mixture back to a full boil.
  5. Stir and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Refrigerate before serving.
