Mandarin Orange Fluff

A light, fluffy dessert combining tangy mandarin oranges with orange jello and sherbet, perfect for a refreshing treat at parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 (11 oz.) cans mandarin oranges
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages orange jello
  • 1 pint orange sherbet
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Drain juice from the mandarin oranges.
  2. Add water to the orange juice to make 2 cups liquid, then add sugar.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Add and dissolve the orange jello in the hot liquid.
  5. Cool the mixture and allow it to partially set.
  6. Whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Whip the jello until fluffy.
  8. Beat in the orange sherbet.
  9. Fold in the whipped cream.
  10. Add the drained mandarin oranges.
  11. Pour the mixture into a mold and refrigerate until set.
