Ingredients

  • 11 oz. mandarin oranges
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 12 oz. box vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. ground almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. orange-flavored liqueur
  • 3/4 c. chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a food blender, chop the mandarin oranges very fine.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the chopped oranges, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, and butter (oleo).
  3. Heat until the chocolate chips melt, then cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, ground almonds, and orange-flavored liqueur.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Shape the chilled mixture into balls.
  7. Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles.
  8. Place the finished truffles in a covered container and refrigerate.
