- In a food blender, chop the mandarin oranges very fine.
- In a saucepan, combine the chopped oranges, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, and butter (oleo).
- Heat until the chocolate chips melt, then cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, ground almonds, and orange-flavored liqueur.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes until firm.
- Shape the chilled mixture into balls.
- Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles.
- Place the finished truffles in a covered container and refrigerate.
