Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar well.
  2. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, salt, and vinegar.
  3. Mix until well blended.
  4. Sift together flour, soda, and baking powder; add to mixture.
  5. Chill in refrigerator.
  6. Shape into silver dollar size rolls.
  7. Wrap in wax paper.
  8. Chill until ready to bake.
  9. Slice thin.
  10. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
