Manda's Macho Nachos

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs hamburger, cooked, seasoned for tacos with
  • taco seasoning
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 2 (16 ounce) bagsshredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 (12 ounce) bags tortilla chips
  • 2 (12 ounce) cans refried beans
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 medium tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Brown and season hamburger.
  2. Chop onion and jalapenos.
  3. Dice tomato, set aside.
  4. heat refried beans.
  5. Heat oven to 425.
  6. Spray a glass baking pan, put down tortilla chips until bottom and sides are covered.
  7. Add layer of refried beans, followed by hambuger,onion, jalapeno, and cheese.
  8. Then start layering process all over.
  9. Do this until you have 3 or 4 layers.
  10. Be sure it is covered with layer of cheese before baking.
  11. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted on top.
  12. When nachos have gone from hot to warm, add sour cream and diced tomatoes.
  13. You could also include salsa.
