Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • food coloring

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar in a blender until well combined.
  2. Add egg and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) and almond extract; blend thoroughly.
  4. Divide the dough into four equal portions.
  5. Add food coloring to each portion as desired.
  6. Put the colored dough through a cookie press onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden.
