Ingredients

  • 1 ham slice, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches thick
  • cloves
  • 1 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Cut off excess fat from the ham slice.
  2. Stud the meat with cloves every inch or two.
  3. Place the ham in a greased baking pan the same size as the ham slice.
  4. Pour maple syrup over the ham.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in a 300°F oven for 1 hour or until the meat is very tender.
  6. Baste the ham occasionally during baking.
