Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup unbleached flour

Instructions

  1. Boil maple syrup and butter together for 30 seconds.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  3. Add unbleached flour and chopped pecans to the mixture.
  4. Mix well until combined.
  5. Drop small teaspoons of batter onto greased baking sheets, spacing at least 3 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 30 to 60 seconds.
  8. Carefully remove cookies using an upside-down spatula.
  9. Store warm and dry; they do not freeze well.
