Instructions
- Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt; set aside. Cream shortening, gradually add brown sugar and cream well.
- Add egg and maple flavoring.
- Beat well and add maple syrup.
- Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture, blending well.
- Add chopped walnuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Top with half walnut.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown in 350° oven.
