Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted oleo
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1 cup broken English walnuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped raisins

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8-inch square pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg until well mixed.
  3. Add sugar and blend well.
  4. Stir in melted oleo, self-rising flour, maple flavoring, walnuts, and raisins until well blended.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan.
  8. Cut into squares with a very sharp knife.
