- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter eighteen 2-inch cupcake tins.
- In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine eggs, flour, salt, brown sugar, and baking powder.
- Fill each cupcake tin 2/3 full with the batter.
- Place a pecan on top of each filled tin.
- Bake until the cakes shrink slightly from the pans, about 8 to 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool before removing from tins.
