  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. garlic
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice

  1. Put all ingredients in a jar and shake well.
  2. Pour over any cut of meat.
  3. Leave to marinate overnight.
  4. Grill the meat and slice thin before serving.

Tips & Substitutions

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme to the marinade. If you're out of Worcestershire sauce, you can substitute it with balsamic vinegar or a splash of liquid smoke for a smoky taste. To save time, marinate the meat in a resealable plastic bag instead of a jar for easy mixing and cleanup.

Serving Suggestions

This marinated meat pairs beautifully with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad. Try serving it with a creamy dip like Super Dip for added flavor. For a complete meal, consider adding garlic bread or rice on the side for a hearty touch.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover marinated meat can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you have cooked meat, it can be reheated gently in the oven or on the stovetop to maintain moisture. Avoid microwaving as it can dry out the meat.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I marinate the meat?

For the best results, marinate the meat overnight. However, if you're short on time, even a few hours can impart a decent flavor. Just remember that tougher cuts of meat benefit more from longer marination.

Can I use this marinade for vegetables?

Absolutely! This marinade works well for vegetables too. Just be mindful of the marination time; softer vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers require only about 30 minutes to soak up the flavors, while heartier ones can go longer.

What types of meat can I use for this marinade?

You can use any cut of meat, such as chicken, beef, pork, or even lamb. Each type will absorb the flavors differently, so feel free to experiment. Just ensure that the meat is cut into even pieces for consistent marination.
