Ingredients

  • 2 cucumbers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add additional water if the vinegar taste is too strong.
  3. Add sliced cucumbers and onions to the mixture.
  4. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to marinate.
  5. Prepare ahead of time to flavor the cucumbers, but not so far that they wilt.
