Tips & Substitutions

For a more robust flavor, let the olives marinate for up to a week, allowing the spices to infuse fully. If you prefer a milder heat, reduce the amount of hot pepper seeds. You can also experiment with herbs like thyme or basil as substitutes for oregano to create a unique flavor profile. Using high-quality olive oil will greatly enhance the dish.

Serving Suggestions

These marinated olives make a fantastic appetizer, especially when paired with a cheese platter or served alongside Mediterranean recipes. They complement dishes like Spinach-Mushroom Salad beautifully. You can also use them as a topping for pizzas or salads, or as a flavorful addition to pasta dishes for a burst of flavor.

Storage & Reheating

Store marinated olives in an airtight container or the original jar, ensuring the olives are fully submerged in oil to prevent spoilage. They can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. If you want to enjoy them warm, simply take out the desired amount and let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
