Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening using a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add milk to the flour mixture and mix well until it forms a sticky ball.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Fold the dough in half to make two layers, then cut into rounds.
