Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 7 1/2 to 8 c. plain flour

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar together.
  2. Add boiling water and let cool.
  3. Beat eggs and add to the cooled mixture.
  4. Dissolve yeast in warm water, then add to the mixture.
  5. Work in salt and flour, then cover and let rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  6. Work down the dough, roll out, and cut like biscuits.
  7. Place in a lightly greased pan and let rise for 1 hour.
  8. Bake at 350°F until brown.
