- Take about half of the chilled dough at a time, roll on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut into doughnut shapes with a cutter.
- Fry in 375°F (190°C) deep fat for about 1 minute, turning once until golden brown.
- Remove with a long-handled fork and drain on paper towels.
- Optional: Add 1 grated apple to the dough for moist, flavorful doughnuts.
